Rescued Snapdragon And Other Stuff
You might remember that a little while ago I spotted a Snapdragon growing out of our garage wall, and so I gently eased it out and transferred it to one of my flower borders, where it seemed to die from shock. It probably was shocked, but I managed to keep the entire root system intact and we gave it lots of compost. About a week ago I noticed new leaf growth on it, and now the little bugger is fully grown again, complete with the beautiful purple blooms that made me notice it in the first place. I'm so pleased - yay for successful saving of rescued plants! My Earthwalker Sunflower has three full blooms on it now, with about 30 more buds still to open and yet more still forming! Along with my French Marigolds, that section of the garden looks as if it's on fire and I love looking out there in the mornings! Photos to follow when that nasty giant slug gets off the lawn (or hopefully eaten by a Magpie).
