In order to be frugal, I decided to seed bag my basil that was going to seed. This, as far as I could gather, consists of putting a bit of pantihose leg over the flower stalk and then when the plant dies back, the seeds will all be saved in the leg so that I can grow again next year. That said, I cut up a pair of runny pantihose and got 6 seed bags. Now I'm left with the "shorts" part that has no legs. Can anyone come up with a use for that? I'd hate for it to go to waste when I'm sure there is some function it could be fulfilling.
