Rinsing clothes with vinegar

Rinsing clothes with vinegar

As per a sugestion from this group, I started using vinegar in the rinse cycle in lieu of fabric softeners for a while now. And, as someone with insanely sensitive skin, I could so hug yalls necks for that. My clothes are in better shape than ever and I even line-dry to save a little on the electric bill, and they are not stiff or crackly like they would be with any other fabric softener (I’ve tried. Ew.). Ok, I’ve already posted to thank everyone for this, so that really isn’t my reason, I just thought I’d reiterate how freaking awesome that was haha.

My question is, has anyone tried putting the vinegar in a Downy ball? I have a bad habit of forgetting about the washing in the machine, and missing the rinse cycle. If I run the rinse cycle alone, it doesn’t always agitate like it’s supposed to, and that really kind of defeats the purpose. I have a Downy ball somewhere that I used before, but with how thin the vinegar is, I’m just not sure it would work correctly. TIA. :D
