Root crops.

Spent a lot of time today in a rocking chair on the front patio. I’m really pretty pleased with the garden this year. I planted carrots, beets and turnips all in one bed a little too close. The good news is that the turnips are mature already, so when I pick them for dinner tommorrow it should give the beets and carrots a chance to grow. Nothing like turnip greens and garlic.

I noticed the first flower buds on the potatoes. I have to keep reminding myself that we have a least a month until harvest.
