Rosemary Christmas Trees
Hi there... I'm pretty new (or at least inexperienced and unsuccessful) at gardening and would like to know if anyone has suggestions about those Rosemary Christmas Trees that are sold during the holiday season. I picked 1 up around the end of November and by Christmas, it was dead. I now picked up another because they were on sale, but I am hoping to avoid the fate of the first one. Unfortunately, I am unsure the variety of rosemary that I got, but I am sure they are different from the ones I plant in my garden because it's a lot more fragrant. It's about a foot high right now, but has begun to shed it's needles and dry out. I've repotted it because the original container seemed insufficient (and because the first one I got, I left in the original pot and it swiftly died) I also noticed that there is a filmy substance which I am not sure if it is a natural oil from the rosemary, or an additive to make it more pretty and stay green for people to buy them in the holiday season? Also, if it is a spray on additive, could it be harming the plant? Thanks for those who can help!
