Roses and mud.
I've just had a row with a rambling rose root. It wanted to stay put and I wanted it out! I've given it enough chances to redeem itself and I've had enough! It WAS a Dorothy Perkins rose. It starts off all right in the spring but when summer comes it gets full of mildew and looks awful. I used to spray it, but now, as I don't spray anything with chemicals any more it's gone to rose heaven (or hell) I've tidied up my little greenhouse ready for tomatoes, dug it over and raked it. I'm full of mud and very happy.
