sad african violet

my african violet has gone very sad lately. i don’t know what’s wrong with it.
at the beginning of the year, it was super happy (it’d gotten really full with the leaves and looked really rich and strong) and actually bloomed twice this year (first time since…. 2003?). now the soil has pulled away from the pot, and the leaves are all droopy. it’s been in the same room for months (same place it bloomed), so i can’t say it’s a light issue.
this is upsetting. :(

can anyone tell me how to perk up my violet?
