Save $$ on Haircare products.

okay, so, some could call me insane since i've got long-ish hair (it's almost to my shoulders) but i decided to try an experiment and it is yielding some pretty nice results. i decided that for the past month and some i would just use plain bar soap to clean my hair. when i get out of the shower, i'd towel it damp and put in about 1-2 tsp (rough estimate) of conditioner (i'm using fructis,) comb it through (i'm using a relatively fine toothed comb, it helps to remove any excess conditioner and no tangles so far) and let it dry that way. i'm not sure what other products this would work for, but i wouldn't be surprised if you could use this with any conditioner though i'm going to guess that the super cheap, craptastic stuff may not give great results. this could lead to buildup in some cases, but i've not noticed that myself. (could be because of the brand) i haven't noticed any difference from using shampoo & Conditioner and it also means that since i've no need to buy shampoo and i use signifigantly less conditioner, i'm saving almost 5-10bux/month. yeah, i know it's not much of a savings and i don't know how this would work with really, really long hair, but hey, a penny saved... eh?
