So I'm all moved out of my apartment. (I ended up leaving the CFLs. lol! It was just one less thing to worry about.) We had our walkthrough last Monday, December 1st. Our landlord told us to meet him there at 9am. We got there at 8:50, and he was already there. When we pulled up, he was walking out the door. We got out of the car and started walking toward him, and he said, "You don't even need to get out of the car. You guys made my job easy. Just give me an address where I can send the [security deposit] check, and I'll get it in the mail today." I gave him the address. We thanked him. He thanked us. We left. Now today is December 9th, and I haven't gotten the check. He just lives in the next town over from me, so it shouldn't take more than a day. At what point should I be concerned/call him? It's not a big management company. It's just a man who owns and takes care of about 12 apartments. He has another job and does this on the side. I'm just kind of freaking out about it because we got really screwed by our last landlord, but this guy has been so nice and helpful, and I don't want to bug him about it.
