Got the Peppers and Tomatos out of their starter cells today. The tomato plants from the seeds we got in Vermont are quite beefy... You can almost hear them yell in unison that they are going to Pump! *clap* You up! When we bought the tomatos at the vegetable stand, the woman (who was the mother in law of my husband's late older brother) told us they were heirloom and that we could save the seeds. The tomatos were so delicious, we did exactly that. Got about 70-100 seeds dried to a paper towel and labeled, "do not throw out". We were concerned that the X-Ray machine at the airports might damage them, but apparently they are fine. I cut 4 seeds out on little squares of the paper towel and then planted them... paper and all. All of them grew. Trouble is, I have no idea what they are... All I know at this time is that they are potato leafed, heirlooms that appear at this time to be growing determinately. The tomatos themselves were red and about 1/2 -1 pound each, roundish and very tasty. I suspect they might be Brandywine Tomatos. Thoughts?
