I’m near Seattle, WA (zone 6 I believe)
What do I need to do to my garden and the soil to prep it for the winter? This will be my first winter for the yard.
Additionally, would this be a good time to dig up and divide my iris and daylily bulbs?
My garden plot is rather big, it’s 56′ x 14′. I’m going to dig everything up, then was going to lay down a layer of shredded newspaper, then another layer of grass clippings and some compost. Would that be good for it? Do i need to cover it or add anything to the soil? Thanks for any help. :)
