Romani123 asked how some of the things he’d sent to various folks last fall were doing so I thought I’d share the canna I got from him and a few other things.
Here is the canna. This year I am growing it in a container so it will be easier to fish the rhizomes out to put them away for the winter.
Sunflowers growing in a Home Depot bucket. This wasn’t intentional. I just wanted to see if the seeds were viable because I’d saved them from a plant that grew last summer. Lavender, daylilies, a tiny coleus grown from seed and on the left a corner of the heuchera I’d heard that Chinese lanterns were spready but I don’t mind – yet. And in the back of them is this years pointsettia. Unless he is very very good he won’t be coming back inside in the fall. I figured to set him out in the sun so he could do his thing. And these are the little columbines, seeds of which came from a friend in Washington state Here in the back left are cosmos, more seeds of which came from a friend in Washington. In front of those straw flower and coleus. The big thing in the middle is colchicum. He’ll be blooming in the fall and is just showing leaves now.
