In this pot, under the pansies, I planted daffodils and tulips. I put pansies on top of them in a desperate attempt at having some end of season color, the result was quite fulfilling. I thought the pansies would be long dead and gone by now but we had a very mild winter and they are still green. Dare I hope that they will bloom again? It would be so neat if they bloomed at the same time as the tulips and the daffodils but I know that’s too much to hope for.
Here’s one of the two crocus that popped today. That’s a tulip sneaking up next to it. And I think the green frilly leaves are the anemones.
These little guys are growing from two broken off pieces that I stuck in the ground and dared to grow. I guess they like that spot. You can see the dead flower stalks that they grew from.
