Since fall is on its way…

I live in Canada, and there’s not too much garden-related to be done after fall and winter arrive.

I was thinking this year of starting an indoor herb garden for the winter…I LOVE to have fresh herbs, and it would definitely be nice to have them even in the nasty weather.

Sounds simple enough, BUT…my house is shit for light. Almost all my windows are east or north facing, except for my rather small south-facing kitchen window. Except for the kitchen, I dont know that I get enough direct light through any of the windows to grow anything needing lots of sun, and I’d like if possible to have more than I can fit in front of the kitchen window.

So, what do you think? Can a few pots of herbs survive in the meagre sunlight my place offers? Or should I just settle for putting one or two pots in the teeny kitchen window?
