Slow Cooker Liners
That last post about slow cooker liners reminded me of something I've been meaning to post. When reynolds came out with them I was thrilled with the idea. I was not however thrilled with the price. Then my brain kicked in. I work at a fast food place that uses liners in our cambros for meatballs and soup. I asked my managers permission and she let me take a couple home. Yay, they fit in my crock pot. I made pot roast lining the pot with a liner. Turned out great! Lifted out the bag when we'd used every bit possible and Yay again, didn't split or anything. Tossed it in the trash, gave the crock a quick wash even though it wasn't dirty and we were good to go. Next time my manager ordered she ordered me a package of them. It came to 13.00 dollars and there are 100 of them. Much cheaper than Reynolds. Oh yes the contents say 100 Genuine Scour Guard Liners. I haven't been able to find an online source yet. They are called "Scour Guard" inserts. They are made by Connecticut Packaging Materials, INC, but I didn't see them on their site. The site does have a phone number though. I'll keep trying to find them online and next time I'm in town I'm going to check my restaurant supply store. If you can find them they are well worth the cost IMHO.
