1. I have some wandering jew starts that I got from my grandmother. I want to be able to take some to the farmers market next spring, so if any new shoots appear I pop those off and put them down to start a new plant. Its been a slow and steady way of doing things, but I was wondering if I took off the leaves and then started those.. I was curious if they would root, or just die. I have one long peice with about 20 leaves, so that would be 20 starts of the plant. 2. Why cant I ever get succulent leaves to root (question mark.. my key is broke.) I set them in soil and water as usual.. do they need to go into a domed tray(yet another question mark.. ) 3. And finally, I tried to start some herbs and flowers from seed. NONE of them got to be adult plants.. the herbs grew into seedlings, stayed that way for a month, and then died. I got all my herb and flower seeds from a woman on eBay.. could I have bad seeds, or is there something special that needed to be done. The flowers didnt even germinate. I want to take tons of herb plants to the farmers market next year, since there are alot of hippy and artsy people that use them all the time (Im one of those, too.) 4. Well, I guess that wasnt final.. will my perinneal herbs die back, even if I bring them inside (question mark). I dont know if that is a regular cycle of the plant, or if I keep them under grow lights they will keep growing. Thanks for the help in advance, and I apologize for the poor grammer. I have an african grey who attacked my laptop keyboard, and a few keys got jammed in the process. Its annoying as hell, cause I tend to be a grammer nazi.
