Spaghetti Sauce for Canning?
I'm home-canning jams and jellies to use as gifts this holiday season. I also have some quart-size mason jars that i'd like to use for homemade spaghetti sauce. However, i've never made it before, haha. So i'm looking for some recipes to use as a guideline. Preferably meatless, since i don't eat meat and don't want to handle it. They can always add meat later though. I do eat poultry though. Also, does anyone know if adding cheese will lend well to canning? I'm a big fan of parmesan and romano in my sauces, but didn't know if that would be ok in a jar. (I know commercial sauces use it, but they also add chemicals.) Thanks in advance!! :)
