Spring Bulbs
I planted:
25 Jeanne D'Arc white crocuses
25 Chionodoxa Forbesii (purple)
1 Portrait of Larry Bearded Iris (purple)
1 Taco Supreme Bearded Iris (red and yellow)
and
9 Mixed Emperor Tulips
10 Silver Dollar Triumph Tulips (white)
8 Mount Hood Trumpet Daffodils (white)
8 Pink Charm Large Cupped Narcissus
8 Mixed Double Flowering Narcissus
10 Allium Aflatunese
The second set I'm not sure how many I'll get. I started planting them 3 weeks ago and got half in the ground, and then I got sick with pneumonia and was out of commission for a few weeks. The remainder got left outside in the meantime. Some were visibly rotten and got chucked today, but half still seemed viable so I stuck them in the ground anyway. I'm not counting on them, though. But I know I got at least 75 viable bulbs in the ground. So spring should be colorful at our house next year! Much better than this year with 2 red tulips, 1 white tulip, a handful of crocuses and those little yellow tulips that grow close to the ground and open like stars (anyone know what those are?)
