I got dragged to Lowe's today by a friend who is way too enthusiastic about buying a new grill and chainsaw and because neither his chainsaw or his new grill interested me after the first hour I started looking for some new things to try growing. I'd like to try growing pumpkins this year but they'd have to be able to live in a container of some sort (I can build a little raised bed but that's about all I'm allowed to change in the garden). I want something that stays small (no more than 5lbs) and is ready for fall, and idea, suggestions? I'd also appreciate any other recommendations you have for veggies that are easy to grow. I currently have a crop of beefsteak tomatoes that I've started from seed, jalapenos, basil, oregano and (hopefully) srping onions. I live in zone 6 (about 50 miles south of Wash. DC) and all of our property gets full afternoon sun.
