Strawberries, Peppers

Strawberries, Peppers

One of my pots of strawberry plants suddenly made a very long stem, so when it started sprouting leaves on the end I figured this was probably a runner, and stuck it in a pot where it has started taking root, and seems quite happy. However, the little baby plant seems to have made a runner as well! Is this normal? The first one is still attached to the main plant. Originally I wasn't going to let the plants fruit, but now we are emigrating next year back to the US, and I'd be giving my plants away, I figured what the heck. One of the plants has about 6 fruit growing, and one is going a nice red :) I wish my tomatoes would ripen, we've only had one go red so far. My long sweet pepper plant started growing 2 peppers quite a while ago. They've got a reasonable size in thickness, but they're not that long, not as long as pictures I've seen anyway. They are also still green, although given the rubbish summer we've had in the UK I shouldn't be that surprised. Anyway, a few weeks ago they just seemed to stop growing, and instead the plant started making loads of flowers, and now some of those flowers are turning into new peppers. Any thoughts, advice?
