Studio Vs. One Bedroom

Studio Vs. One Bedroom

I'm having a bit of a dilemma. Right now I live in a two bedroom, 1 bath apartment with a roommate. But I've been having problems with said roommate and I decided I want to move out on my own. I really miss living by myself. After looking at several complexes in the area, I found the one that will work perfectly for me. The complex is made up of studio and one bedroom apartments. I'm trying to decide which one I should go for. The money is obviously an issue. I can probably afford either one, but the one bedroom would make my budget pretty tight for the next year or so. I'm considering getting a second job for awhile, but I really don't want it to be a necessity. I don't really have a lot of furniture right now. I pretty much have everything I own in a single bedroom so either place would give me a lot more room to work with than what I have now. I looked at both types of apartments and honestly, I'd be happy with either. So I'm leaning towards the studio apartment because it would give me a little bit of wiggle room in my budget. I guess my question is, do any of you have any suggestions on how to make the studio apartment work for me? What are the pros and cons to living in a studio? The odd black shape is the fireplace. There is a built in bookcase directly to the right of the fireplace, I believe.
