I make it a habit to plant 50 square feet or so of carrots every 30 days all summer so I always have some ready. Except for today, this cold summer has really delayed everything. The batch that’s been in the ground for 80 days or so is nowhere near ready. On the other hand the four month old parsnips are perfect size:
