Imagine my horror to wake up Friday 13th to this weather.
I was outside yesterday and got a couple of perennials planted as well as some summer bulbs, and my sweet peas. I have a trellis that I made from willows last year and it is in a large planter out by the garden hideaway. I put some sweet peas in it so we can enjoy the fragrance of them as we sit and ponder. Also, I planted more at the back of the house, so they can climb the large trellis I have there. Once they bloom I will have to post pictures. The one vegetable garden has been tilled, now I am just waiting for good weather to plant the root vegetables. Between the snow and rain and wet, I haven’t had an opportunity to get out and plant. And today, wouldn’t you know it, it is raining again. It is only supposed to last for the morning so maybe I can get out this afternoon and plant. The other vegetable garden is still too wet to till. I have to weed some of the flower beds too. So much to do!!! So poor days to do it in.
