Supplier review: Baker Creek Heirloom Seeds
http://rareseeds.com/ On Feb 15 I ordered a small lot of vegetable seeds: Order: Listada De Gandia Eggplant Culantro or Vietnamese Coriander Stevia Hungarian Hot Wax Pepper Amish Paste Tomato Cherokee Purple Tomato Black Krim Tomato Pineapple Tomato The prices are very competitive, the shipping is very reasonable and they arrived this morning. That's FAST. Also included was a bonus packet of Carrot 'Muscade' and a little note to apologize for any delays. Seriously, nothing to apologize for! I've never heard a gardener say a negative thing about Baker Creek and I feel confident that the germination rates will be perfectly acceptable. I know many people are trying to source as much non-GMO and organic seed as possible, which gives Baker Creek an advantage in the market. ----------------- Supplier review: American Beauty Garden Center http://www.abgardencenter.com I dropped by ABGC to pick up some Botanicare Liquid Karma. They specialize in hydroponic systems and supplies, but they’ve got a great array of things like nutrients and lighting gear, etc. I think they’re probably a great place for sourcing some of the stuff you don’t find at the big box garden centers. Anyway, the reason I’m giving them a big thumbs up recommendation is the staff. Very friendly, knowledgable folks and I’d happily go back, perhaps in Spring when the garden really gets going. Worth noting: parking lot is a bit small and awkward and may be full for the next couple months since they’re next to a Jackson-Hewitt tax place.
