Teeth Issues – A Poor Skill Problem

Teeth Issues – A Poor Skill Problem

I’m terrified of dentists. I’ve not gone in about a decade, and of course, that’s not a good thing. I’ve got two teeth that are slowly vanishing (they’re pretty much just the root, jaggedly flush with the gum line now). One is the back molar on the bottom left, and the other is the second from the back, top right.

The poor crowned tooth that’s all alone in the back right is now REALLY painful and the area is slightly swollen, I think it was cracked or otherwise offended when I attempted to chew stuff on that side. Interestingly, the two demolished teeth don’t hurt at all, but I’m sure it’s not very healthy to let them rot away in there.

I’d like to save up for dental implants, since I’d really rather not lose a quarter of my chewing real estate(they’re in the back, without teeth to anchor a bridge on each side), but would also like to get these taken care of asap. Is it possible to have extractions, and then go back at a later date for dental implants?

I've also heard nothing but good things about going down to Mexico to get all the work done, Tijuana especially. I'm in California, so it's just a matter of hopping a cheap flight down there - does anyone have first-hand experience with Mexican doctors?

Losing teeth is scary as all hell – and losing them at 30 is scarier still. And I know – prevention is much easier than treatment!
