Well the 67 degree sun melted the foot of snow we had last week thankfully. It looks like my peas did survive, not sure about the broccoli yet so we shall see.
Despite the fact that I made a big row garden this year for my Veggies I had a good amount of lawn area that I still wanted to convert into planting area for more veggies, herbs and flowers. Today I bought the Square foot gardening book and went to work. I’m big on recycling as much as possible and the total cost of this project was $0.00, using what I had laying around. I still need to fill it with dirt but on a good start. For the Square foor sections, I used an old broken soaker hose that I cut into strips. I’m pretty pleased with how it came out. I can’t wait to fill them up with lots of plants in the next few weeks. Lettuce went into the big garden today, poor starters were dying to get into the ground.
