The Curse of the Black Thumb
I'm starting to think I have the curse of the black thumb :( Here are the problems I've been having, and some questions. Advice, please? - Rosemary. I have a rosemary plant outside in a big pot. It grew really well outside last year with no intervention from me at all. This winter hasn't been too kind to it, though. The top part looks dried out, though the bottom leaves are still healthy looking. I've been debating taking it inside or repotting it, but I don't want to traumatize it further by moving it. Here's a picture of it: - Ficus. My ficus has been sitting in the kitchen for several years with little maintenance and no problems. Then I went on vacation for a long weekend. When I came back, the leaves had started dropping off. I tried fertilizer and it helped a little bit, but it hasn't completely fixed the problem. Is it "drop leaf"? What should I do about it? Here's a picture of it: - Bamboo. I received some bamboo as a present, but my cats attacked it. Now it is sad. Other than sticking it in water near some sunlight, is there anything I can do to help it grow back? - Unidentified plant #1. I got a clipping of a plant from a coworker. I think it's jade. I stuck it in a pot and watered it a bit, but don't want to do anything much to it 'til I know what it is. Does it look like jade to the rest of you folks? - Unidentified plant #2. This plant came with the apartment and has been hanging in the bathroom ever since. I have no clue what it is. I've been watering it every once in a blue moon and it has been fine - no flowers or anything, though. But then my cats attacked it (can you see a pattern here?). I want to try and fertilize it to help it regrow but I don't know what it is. Any ideas? Thanks in advance for any advice you may have!
