I’ve noticed several tomatoes that have large bugs. Similar to squash bugs but longer, meaner looking bodies with a leaf looking leg on one side and they are on many of my plants and are eating my tomatoes. I am growing an organic garden and have been trying to drown the nasties, but these are getting too bad. What organic way can I protect my tomatoes? They are just starting to redden. If you need pictures, I can take some. I just have to put my daughter down for a nap first. Please help. Is a soapy solution the way to go? Is it still considered organic? What about tequila? Or should I go pick some tobacco from local farmers and make a solution out of that (I live in NC, zone 7b)?
