This is specific for Ohio, but worth a look for other states.

This is for Ohioans. If you live in the state of Ohio, and want to go back to school, especially online, there is a free program that will help you out. Ohio Learning Network The thing about OLN is that if you go through their free "E4ME" program, then they will match you with an "e-guide" who is available by phone/snail mail/e-mail, to help you find a way to go back to school using the internet at an accredited Ohio University. And, as we have heard so often, accreditation is the key when looking into online schools. All of that, of course, is free. There is also a program, according to the website, where, if you complete the course (And I have, it's relatively simple) there are certain fees that will be waived with your certificate. Some offer bookstore gift cards, others offer waiving of the application fees. Since further education is, absolutely, a poor skill, I thought I would throw this out there for those that don't know about it. Before I'm asked: No, I don't know if it's available to those outside of Ohio. It might be worth a poke around to see if you can, or if your state has it as well.
