Thought I’d share, just in case
I learned something about long distance phone services today, and thought I'd share, just in case I'm not the only one who didn't know. I received my bill today and noticed that I had some long distance charges on it. Basically, my husband had called my mom's (long distance) cell phone to find out where we were at while she was in town. We don't have a long distance service plan, so it shouldn't have been possible. I called my phone company, and what I found out was this: No. I don't have a long distance service plan, but I did have a provider, that charges by the minute. I tend to be a bit of an airhead, so it never really occurred to me that there would be a difference between plan and provider. Anyways, I'm glad I checked on it, because I could have found by having a child decide to play with the phone. Moral of the story: If something doesn't sound right or seem to fit, call them and find out why, because it might save you some trouble in the long run.
