Thrift store

So now my plant obsession has extended to being part of my thrift store habit. This morning, I found, in the thrift store, a "Grow your own GIANT SAGAURO CACTUS" kit. I wouldn't have known what this was if not for the little drawing on the label, of the huge cactus that I'm sure most everyone thinks of when they think of cactus - the great big kind like in all the Roadrunner Wile Coyote cartoons. I don't know if a cactus will grow in here, but I couldn't pass it up for $.99. I have no idea how old the kit is - will it still grow even if the seeds are old? Anything else I should know about this? I don't know if I should even bother. I suppose if anyone here wants it, I'd be willing to send it to you. It's got a little plastic bag of soil, a tiny terra cotta pot and a seed packet, and a little info packet. I also got a Sunset "How to grow Houseplants" book. It looks like it's from the 70's but it was $.49, and I figured it would be interesting :D
