To plant some flowers/plants
Hopefully this newbie-ish question is okay here! I am taking it upon myself to plant some flowers/plants in the front bed of a spiritual center I belong to. I need some plant advice! I'm not quite sure what to put in there. Things to consider: * The bed is small -- probably 3x3 or 3x4. * It is on a farm, and the soil looks pretty dark (ie, not sandy) and rich. * The water on the farm is VERY VERY HARD. I mean, when you turn on the tap, it smells like rotten eggs. * I cannot get out there to attend to the garden daily, but will be there at least once a week. The "caretaker" lives nearby and will be happy to water the bed, I'm sure. * The farm is in southeast Michigan. * The bed is in a spot that is near the patio cover, but it is not covered itself. However, when the sun moves through the sky, I'm sure it gets some shade. * The sun will likely be pretty hot when it is out, because there is no other source of shade anywhere on this part of the grounds. I know this is a tough one. Any ideas?
