to turn over or not to
last fall i used my leaf blower turned around as a vacuum/shredder and sucked up all my leaves, using 1/3 as many bags. i put a thin layer of these shredded leaves over my garden for the winter. by thin layer i mean less than an inch, before it was compacted by snow. now spring seems to have FINALLY arrived here in minnesota and i'm debating whether i should just turn this thin layer if shredded leaves over into the garden, or if i should rake them up and then turn over the garden. what do you all think? turn them over or rake them up?
