Hello everyone. I'm new here and joined because I have some questions about tomatoes and the bad luck I've had with them. I live in the city and don't have room for a garden but I love tomatoes and thought I could grow one plant indoors in a pot. I got some seeds for cherry tomatoes and planted one in the center of a plastic pot six inches in diameter. Well the sprout came out all nice and neat with two little leaves and got about three inches tall. I'd water it every day with a cap full of water to the roots. Sometimes two cap fulls. These are the caps on water bottles. Well it didn't grow anymore past this point then the leaves started to turn brown at the tips and it crept to the stem over a few days then my sprout shrivled and died. I tried with another seed and though perhaps it needed more water. Same problem. I've just planted my third seed and now perhaps I shouldn't water so much. It is in doors but it gets pleanty of light from florecent bulbs. I had even added two food sticks when I started. Help! What am I doing wrong?
