Tomatoes and other veggies
I picked just about the last of the beans from the garden on Sunday. I decided to pick some tomatoes too, but only the ones with a blush on them, so the remaining tomatoes could grow more and ripen. Here are the results of the picking. I got five 3 litre baskets of tomatoes and a 3 litre basket each of green beans and wax beans. Some of the green beans are starting to bloom again, but I feel it is too late in the season for any beans to reach maturity before the frost. I also have to get in the other garden this morning and pick more cucumbers for pickling. Some of the green tomatoes still on the plants will go to making chow-chow pickles too, so I have a job ahead of me. Not to mention canning tomatoes as they ripen.
