After my Nan passed away I asked my sister to go and get me a specific plant and ornament from Nan’s house. The ornament was one that I bought her many years ago – a beautiful Kingfisher – and the plant was rooted from a cutting she took off one I bought from a Church fete when I was nine – and so this beauty is 27 years old!

Nan was meticulous about plant care. This one was a little dehydrated when I got it home (I had to travel 170 miles just to collect it and I arrived home with it today) but it’s had a good soak and – as you can see – is looking rather wonderful.

You can see the Kingfisher ornament on the shelf below.

Sorry for the blurriness; the lighting in our hall is dreadful but using the camera flash would have bleached the image so as to be impossible to see what is what.
