Trading in a car for a motorcycle
With the prices of gas rising and rising, driving my car is becoming increasingly expensive. I know just giving up the car would be the ultimate poor_skill but I commute to college, church and visit my grandmother in a nursing home. I am giving some pretty serious thought to trading in my car, a 2004 Chevrolet Aveo with about 77k miles, for a cheap motorcycle. I still owe about 3k on the note. Does anyone have any experience with trading in cars for motorcycles? Would you recommend it? I'm not very experienced with the whole vehicle trading thing. Also, this is a sort of random question. I work in a mall and give a few people rides when we work the same shift or they absolutely can't find another ride and I happen to be free. Their homes are more or less on the way to work so I'm not really going out of my way to pick them up unless I was off and they called me for a ride. Would it be rude of me to ask for gas money - say $10 a month or so? Gas is eating me aliiiive.
