Quick shots I took with the cellphone from the car today… There are tulips of every kind and colour (even if I apparently took just red-pink ones) almost everywhere in the city ( Istanbul ) these days, but especially on this road that goes along the Marmara sea for like 10 kms long. Which probably means there are hundreds of thousands of tulips in the city and maybe more. I wish they could last more than just two weeks or so…
EDIT : I just read in a newspaper that this year they planted a total 12 million tulip bulbs at Istanbul… I was thinking of thousands of hundreds, I was wrong…
