So just how bad is it to buy a used mattress/boxspring (off of a site like craigslist)? It skeeves me out, but my mattress is OLD and I’ve been sleeping horribly on it. I don’t feel I really have the money for a new mattress, even a cheap one (especially since I’m not sure a new cheap mattress would be any better than the old mattress I already have) right now.
I guess a side question would be what can I do to make an old mattress more comfortable? My goal is to have it last another year, and then when I moved *fingers crossed* to go back to school to get a new mattress (I’m assuming I’ll have a far move and it will be easier to get rid of the bed and just buy new in my new locale). I’ve turned the box spring. I’ve flipped the mattress in every possible direction. It just isn’t comfortable any more. I can easily feel the springs. I know the middle support is pretty much shot. I’m just too broke to buy new right now.
