using blighted dirt?

using blighted dirt?

I container garden, and I have about 20 cubic feet of dirt in my containers total. Last year, my tomatoes got blight. I remember reading that the dirt that supported the blighted tomatoes has to be quarantined from things in the tomato (nightshade?) family for a minimum of 7 years, but that it's OK to use for legumes. Anyway, I'm looking for confirmation. What can I use the blighted dirt for? Is there any way to treat it so that I can use it with confidence that it's not going to make my tomatoes sick? Thanks in advance. X-post to organic_garden
