Various gardening questions
Hi everyone :) a few questions... I live in NH, and since we have had the weirdest summer weather (lots of extreme rain) I have a great deal of plants that grew very tall before flowering, so I had to put trellis supports on many of them to keep them from falling over. Then all of a sudden my butterfly bush (which is new this year) looks dead at the roots and is starting to tilter over. And My bee balm looks as if there is a fungus on it (lots of white spots and the flowers died and dried out) What is causing all of this. I take really good care of my garden. I also got a japense beetle infestation in one garden and they destroyed my hollyhocks. I got the bag a bug system but now one of the hollyhocks is literally falling over. :( Back to everything getting so big, I still have flowers that have gotten huge but havent bloomed. My foxglove look like gigantic cabages but never bloomed. What is going on? What could I possibly be doing wrong? And how do I fix it. Would putting fresh soil around the butterfly bush help it? Any help would be appreciated! Thanks so much.
