Virginia creeper is taking over my life – help!
The previous owners of our house planted Virginia creeper vines in our back yard. The creeper roots are planted at the base of the chain link fencing and have completely and totally taken over the fences. I tore out the actual vines and dug up as many roots as I could. However, some of the roots have grown into the base of the chain link fencing, making the roots impossible to remove. I've started flower gardens at the edges of our lawn, but the beds are quickly being taken over by vines! Since I can't take the roots out, how do I get rid of them? These vines are not only mangling my flowers, but they crawl into our garage and into our neighbor's garage. I've tried putting down plastic gardening material over the roots, but the vines are eeking out around the edges. I hate these awful vines and I can't get rid of them! Please help! Thanks in advance. :)
