Wall of Frames

So I have decided I want to do a wall of frames in my bedroom. I have 2 very empty walls and a 3rd with only a Blue Man Group poster to keep it company. I already have about 8 framed pictures taking up space I don’t have in my bedroom. The problem is, I have no idea how to go about it. So I am appealing to those of you have or have had walls of frames before. how did you do it, what was your trick, what do you recomend? How many pictures should i use? is the grid effect better because i think i like something like this better…
