If you know a lot about what different annual seeds look like, could you help me?
I’m planning my wedding for 5/30/09, and it’ll be a garden theme– flowers from my garden for the centerpieces and bouquets, and we’ll be in a flowery park.
So I’m trying to figure out what seeds to buy. I want seeds that fit the following criteria:
-are large, so they won’t fall out of the cracks in the boxes
-are annuals
-are easy to grow
-and ideally, ones that grow purple flowers, but it’s not a big deal if this won’t work.
Currently, my backup option is to just get a ton of sunflower seeds, since they’re huge seeds and easy, but I’m wondering if there’s a more awesome option I’m not thinking of.
Other related questions:
-How much seed do you think I’d need to buy for 50 boxes? half a pound? a pound? They look like they’re about 2x2x1inch..
-Where’s a good place to buy that much bulk seed? Most the places I’ve looked at (like on the Watchdog 30) mostly specialize in smaller amounts than this.
