Weed ‘um and reap!

Weed ‘um and reap!

I thought I’d come out from lurking and say Hi! I’ve been lurking on this community for a little while and have loved seeing everyone’s flowers as well as enjoying the tips I’ve gleened from the posts. Most all have been quite helpful and put to good use in my gardening adventure.

I live in Oregon (zone 8) and I’m hopelessly addicted to gardening since last year. Biggest problem being -I live in a small apartment complex where the property owner is very lazy about doing anything to make it look halfway presentable. Last year I took matters into my own hands and got a few neighbors together. We had a little apartment community project to beautify our very very small backyard area. This year a few less have participated, but we seem to have even more flowers than ever. I keep edging over into the area that never gets touched and is a huge weed patch – thinking how nice it would be to clear it out and put a veggie garden in there.

I should also mention that my latest hobby has been taking pictures of flowers.

Anyway, thanks to all for all the beautiful flower pictures and wonderful advice. Keep it coming! I have more flower pictures here if you’re interested.

Happy Gardening!
