Whats wronge with my tomatoes?
I'm having tomatoe issues, and not sure if they are seriose or not? I planted: 2 Amish paste Roma tomatoes 1 Sugar Roma tomato 1 "Mortage lifter" tomato 1 Purple cherokee Tomato 1 Whopper tomato I'v had one or two end blossom rots, but nothing major. My major concern is the following: 1)"inner leavers" close to the main stem, mostly near the lower half have died. Not all of them, but several branches of each plant suddenly died and dried up all brown and crinkly 2)On about 75% of the tomatoes(all kinds) there has been little "black spots" Not huge spots but little black ones that reach just barely below the skin. I'v only had about 8 roma's rippen so far, and have just cut that piece away before freezing them to make sauce later. 3) Many of the roma tomatoes, but not the regular tomatoes fall off the vine without being picked. Like you just bump them and they fall off before being ripe. 4) My whopper tomatoe is 1/2 the size of the other one with small fruit. My Sugar roma also has tiny fruit, about 1 1/2 to two inches long and an inch wide Any Suggustions to any of this? I'm stumped.
