Two or three times now, I have seen little baby squashes start on the vine, only to wither up and rot after a few days. What’s going on?
So far, I have had only one squash mature. I don’t understand if this is some kind of disease, fungus, or “other.” As a side piece of information, the squash that has mature was pollinated by bees, and the ones that withered were artificially pollinated by me, using a q-tip to transfer pollen from the male to female flowers (which bloomed on different days on the same plant.)
Any insight/ advice?
