Wild strawberries, butterfly bush and pampas grass
Thought I'd just jam all my questions into one post... --I've got wild strawberries all over my back yard. (I tasted them...no good) They're cute, but not that welcome. Any organic ways to get rid of them (short of pulling them...there's too many)? I also have a lot of sheep shower. (It's good to eat, but again, too much of it) --My butterfly bush and pampas grass (both bought last year) have not yet sent out any green. Are they dead, or do they just start up late? I'm in Zone 6ish...St. Louis. They both did great last year, though the grass failed to set any plumes. --Russian sage: I bought one last year, and the birds nearly killed it (I have robins that steal my plant parts for their nests). This year, I put some netting over it, and it's doing okay, but will it get the blue/purple flowers in year two? I hope so. Thanks!
