I am new to gardening and lawn care including shrubs and trees. I have lived in older houses with established trees and bushes all my life, but I am now living in a newer house and
adding repairing and replacing neglected landscaping. I pulled out three dead and dying shrubs and replaced them with azaleas and a small Japanese maple. I live in zone 5 and as it is October, cold weather is rapidly approaching. Are there any considerations I should take about small young bushes and trees to protect them from their first winter? My husband wonders about burlapping them.
THank you for any help!
