worm composting

worm composting

Has anyone here tried worm composting? I really want to try it, I think it would be easy and fun, but I'm trying not to do my usual thing of getting in way over my head with a project and realizing such after it is way too late. I'd love to do for-real composting, but I'm trying to start small and build up my gardening skills, and I'd really love to go the natural route as much as possible. Thus I thought, worm composting. Plus it will be fun to freak out my mother. Advice? PS: Hi! Long time lurker, first time poster, recently bought first home, new to gardening, etc. I live in zone 8, and basically right now we have grass and some azaleas and a couple of trees (oak and magnolia). I have a lot of landscaping in my future.
